Steve leads the BIRI™ Initiative at Planetary.Blue. He curates the official rankings of reliability for websites providing information on sustainability related topics.  He also provides advisory services to businesses in the energy and environment space whilst promoting emerging environmental talent, SMEs and entrepreneurs.
Steve retired from the Asian Development Bank in early 2025.  He specialized in waste-to-energy topics at ADB's Energy Sector Office as a Senior Energy Specialist. He was responsible for developing the knowledge base, project development and implementation in waste to energy and supporting projects across waste, the circular economy and ocean impacts.
Steve holds a Master of Engineering Science and Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He is a past Board Member of Austcham Singapore. He was previously the Managing Director of the Stratcon group of companies and Waste to Energy Pte Ltd.  He is a Past chairman of the Asia Pacific Biogas Alliance.
